WCS has experienced tremendous growth over the last few years. We are excited to share that our high school building was completed and is now operational! With the needs of our school growing, the annual fund has become a resource to enhance current conditions and expedite projects and programs. In 2021, we set a goal to raise $1,000,000 by June 2024. As of August 2023, we have raised $787,275 toward that goal.
Every gift made to the annual fund truly makes a difference. Starting in 2021, WCS identified areas that were in need of improvement. Here are some of the projects that were completed with the assistance of the annual fund:
- Classroom, technology, and curriculum upgrades $250,000
- Athletic field enhancements $50,000
- Roof and HVAC replacement $150,000
- Parking lot, curb, crosswalk, and drainage enhancement $230,000
- Gym improvements (lobby, ramp, bleacher motor, washer/dryer) $40,000
- Security communications and access $50,000
- Bus $108,000
The annual fund is a way that WCS can continue to partner with churches and families to educate from a Biblical worldview, so they can make an impact in their lives for Christ. Our goal is to raise $400,000 in this fiscal year. With $100,000 already raised, we are confident that if we all work together we can reach this goal.
