Dear Parents:
Achievement Tests are coming up soon. Achievement Tests will take place on March 15-17 for all students in first grade through ninth grades. The purpose of this letter is to inform you about the tests, so that – with your support and encouragement – your child will do his or her best on the tests.
School will begin at 8:00 and the tests will begin at 8:30 each day. Once testing begins, the classrooms will not be disturbed in order to provide the students with an optimal testing environment. It is imperative that students be prompt for school each day and only miss school for sickness or emergencies. Please contact the office as soon as possible if your child misses a testing day. Students who are absent will be able to make up the tests in the afternoons only. If a student misses more than one day, they will not be able to make up the tests. We would greatly appreciate your support by scheduling doctor or dental appointments in the late afternoon to avoid having your student make up the test. In order for teachers to be able to quickly get students settled and begin their tests, we ask that parents schedule any meetings through the office.
Make sure your students get plenty of rest and understand the importance of these tests. They do not need to worry about these tests, but they should take them seriously. A student who is well rested and well fed and has a positive attitude about testing is best prepared for testing.
Achievement Tests allow Wayne Christian School to evaluate a students’ progress and identify our academic strengths and weaknesses. Thank you for encouraging and supporting your child during the Achievement Tests. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact my office.
Sincerely,
Luis Miranda
WCS Principal
