Michelle Krug graduated from Wayne Christian School in 2007. Before graduation, Michelle was dual-enrolled at Wayne Community College. After graduating, she transferred to Lenior Community College where she received a certificate and became certified through the state for Massage Therapy. Michelle worked at a local spa in Goldsboro. Meanwhile, she met Josh McCullen, and the couple would marry and welcome their son, Colby. The couple is the owner and operator of Jersey Mike’s in Goldsboro, NC, and also part of the corporate office in South Carolina.
Michelle recalls fond memories of comradery with fellow students, coaches, and teachers. Michelle participated in the athletic programs and felt as if it was a sisterhood among fellow teammates. The relationships that were created and built with students and teachers have been maintained even through adulthood. Other memories of WCS include the high school trips such as the junior trip to Washington D.C. and the senior trip to Disney. She mentioned that these trips felt like traveling with family. Another memory that left a lasting impression was Homecoming. Michelle explains that it was an all-day event that felt, electric!
A piece of advice Michelle would like to share with future alumni would be “stay the path, trust in God’s plan and timing. Work ethic and a positive attitude will carry you through. Be prayerful during crossroads.”
