Jonathan Greene graduated from Wayne Christian School in 2005 and recalls some of his most memorable moments on the golf course with teammates who became close friends. Along with making lifelong friends with classmates, Jonathan got to experience history while at WCS by winning a state championship in golf his senior year. He recalls witnessing the championship banner getting hung in the gym and how that impacted his life.
After graduating from WCS, Jonathan attended Mount Olive College, where he received a scholarship to play golf. After four years of playing golf and graduating with a degree in Recreation Leisure Studies, Jonathan pursued a career playing golf professionally, selling cars, and coaching. The Lord led him to become a firefighter for the City of Goldsboro for the last seven years, where he received a promotion to Engineer. While life was happening, he met his wife and had two amazing children!
His advice for future alums would be to enjoy the time in youth; the older you get, the faster time seems to fly. Don’t take the quality education you have been blessed to receive for granted; Jonathan feels he was lightyears ahead of his peers in certain areas because of WCS.
