We are officially through six weeks of school this year and October is already here. I always enjoy this time of year – football, the county fair, and pumpkins – and Grandparents Day. I would love for all grandparents to join us on Friday, October 5 for Grandparents Day. Our students in kindergarten through fourth grade have been working hard, even with a hurricane delay, to prepare for this special day. Grandparents will be treated to a special program, followed by refreshments and a visit to their grandchild’s classroom.
Grandparents Day is one of my favorite days of the school year. I enjoy getting to meet all the grandparents and see their joy at watching their grandchild in the program. It’s always fun seeing the children lead, and sometimes pull, their grandparents into the classroom to show them their seat, their pencil box, and introduce them to their best friend.
I am looking forward to next Friday, and I look forward to seeing all of our grandparents!
See you soon,
Mr. Luis Miranda, Elementary Principal
