I was telling a parent today that yesterday was a blur – before I knew it, it was time to go home for the day. Have you ever had a day like that? Maybe a week?
My week started in Raleigh on Tuesday at an ACSI Reach 2.1 Training. That’s a fancy way of saying I spent the day in ACSI accreditation training. We are already beginning the process of preparing for our reaccreditation in 2021.
The highlight of my week was seeing twenty-five of our elementary students participate in our first ever STEM Fair. I loved seeing their hard work and the way each of them spoke to the judges. Six of our students were chosen to represent our school at the upcoming 2019 STEM Fair at the Maxwell Center. Our students’ work will be featured alongside other students from across the county.
It’s been a good few weeks.
Looking ahead to the next few weeks, here are some important dates to remember:
-
March 4 is a teacher workday
-
March 5 & 6 are bake sale days for first grade
-
March 8 is when report cards go home
I am really excited about the teacher workday on March 4. A team from BJU Press will be coming to spend the day with our elementary teachers. They’ll have several sessions throughout the day that will help them continue to improve as educators.
Don’t forget about the Spring Fling Vendor Fair and Community Day in April. We’re still looking for vendors and sponsors that are willing to help with the event. Let me know how you can help!
