Reagan Hinton graduated with honors and was the valedictorian of the Wayne Christian School Class of 2011. Following graduation, Reagan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and International Business from Colorado Christian University. She went on to complete a Master’s degree in American Government as well as earning her Juris Doctorate from Regent University. After those accomplishments, Regan received a Master’s of Law in Dispute Resolution degree from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
Today, Reagan is the Staff and Program Manager at Geographic Technologies Group. She also serves as the president of Where Love Abounds, a Christian non-profit that she began while still a student at WCS. Reagan hopes to become a part of the diplomatic corps in Washington, D.C. in the near future.
When Reagan was asked what she felt was the most impactful part of her education at Wayne Christian School, she credited her English teachers and the writing skills she learned while at Wayne Christian School. Ms. Hinton feels that she was better prepared for the writing that was necessary for college and her career because of what she learned at WCS. She also recognizes that the Christian foundation of her education has played a pivotal role in the past eight years.
Regan recalls having her faith challenged as a freshman in college. Early on, she struggled with her faith and used what she learned at WCS to help her with the questions and challenges she faced. A Christian foundation was not something she always appreciated while a high school student, but now that she looks back on the last eight years, she sees how crucial it was to her becoming the person she is today. Reagan recalls what she learned from her teachers and how they helped to prepare her for the challenges she would face.
Where Love Abounds began during Reagan’s senior year at WCS. This was a way for her to stay connected with the people she met on the many mission trips she has taken. Today, Where Love Abounds operates in five countries, including Ghana, Iraq, and India. They have partnered with the Iraqi Christian Relief Council to help build homes for Christians who were displaced by ISIS in the Nineveh Plains.
Reagan will be visiting Wayne Christian School on Thursday, December 5, to share more about Where Love Abounds with the high school students. She will also provide information about her past mission trips and details about potential mission trips for WCS students in the summer. Reagan hopes more students will take an interest in serving in their communities and serving on mission trips.
