Due to the rising flood waters on secondary roads and possible dangerous road conditions, and after consulting local authorities, Wayne Christian School and Childcare Center will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Friday, November 13. The late start will give our faculty and staff the opportunity to drive to school in the daylight.
Morning extended care and the childcare center will open at 8:30 am, with K-12th grade classes beginning at 10:00 am. School drop-off will begin at 9:30 am. Middle school and high school students should report to third period to begin the school day.
Based on reports of potential cresting of the Neuse River tomorrow afternoon, the childcare center and afternoon extended care will close at 4:30. Middle school basketball practices are canceled; however, we are planning to hold sports practices for high school teams (JV and varsity basketball). Parents, please use your judgement for your child’s attendance at practice. Coaches will communicate any changes to the practice schedule. We will evaluate the status of the JV Football Championship game in the morning.
