The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program provides schools with an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of volunteerism throughout the student body and to recognize students who have distinguished themselves through community service. Students who receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award are eligible to win a $1,000 scholarship by going on to a state-level competition.
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards were created by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and Prudential Financial in 1995 to honor both middle level and high school students for outstanding acts of community service.
Applications for this award are due November 5. Please see Mrs. Ford (or contact her at sford@waynechristian.org) for more information about applying for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.
